What is Invisalign Teen?
Invisalign Teen is specifically designed to help teenagers get the most out of their treatment while affording them all the same benefits of Invisalign treatment.
The removable convenient nature of Invisalign allows for the aligners to be easily removed for eating, brushing and flossing. Teenagers however, can often forget to put them back in, slowing down their treatment. For Invisalign to be working efficiently the aligners need to be worn for 22 hours per day. Invisalign Teen was developed to encourage and remind teenagers to wear their aligners.

WHY GO WITH INVISALIGN TEEN?
Molars don't have to be fully erupted
Invisalign was originally designed for adults with all of their teeth, however to make sure teenagers’ could receive the same great benefits, Invisalign Teen was designed. Invisalign Teen accounts for teenagers that may not have all of their teeth fully erupted. With many teens, their molars and cuspids are slow to erupt, so Invisalign Teen can be fitted with specifically designed “eruption tabs” to accommodate this natural eruption pattern. Previously, many teen patients could not be treated with Invisalign. Now, thanks to Invisalign Teen, this doesn’t disqualify you from treatment.
6 Free Aligners
We know teenagers are active, so to make sure they don’t miss a minute of treatment, Invisalign Teen comes with ‘spare’ aligners. Six free additional aligners are made just in case any are lost or damaged during treatment. Rather than waiting for new aligners to be made they’re on-hand, ready to be worn.
Invisalign Teen comes with built-in compliance indicators. These compliance indicators are small blue dots on the back of each aligner. When these blue dots are exposed to extend amounts of saliva they begin to fade to light blue and then clear. The purpose of these indicators is to help Teens and reassure parents that the aligners are being worn for the appropriate amount of time. Clear dots indicate the aligners are being worn for the recommended 22 hours per day.
