To reach the level of education and experience that Dr Tarraf has achieved, he has dedicated time into continuing research into areas of dentistry, orthodontics and especially lingual orthodontics. This additional research is done to improve patient outcomes, but also by publishing these articles, it improves orthodontics overall by sharing this information globally.
Dr Tarraf has always had a great interest in lingual orthodontics, and this has now been recognised by his peers.
In 2016 he was successful in becoming a member of the European Society of Lingual Orthodontics ESLO (Membership is through examination of two treated cases) and is currently the only Australian member of this elite group of orthodontists with only 260 specialists world wide.
In 2017 Dr Tarraf became the first and only Australian orthodontist to become a member of the World Society of Lingual Orthodontics (WSLO) a select group of only 250 members world wide who specialise in lingual orthodontics.
And he is the current president of the Australasian Society of Lingual Orthodontics,
